BENTONVILLE, AR: Wal-Mart is in the midst of reviewing PR agencies to assist with its consumer communications in the US.
Tara Raddohl, senior communications manager at Wal-Mart, confirmed the search after it was reported earlier today.
In an e-mailed statement, Raddol said that the superstore is “currently talking to a number of public relations agencies,” including Edelman Chicago, the incumbent on the account. The agency has supported Wal-Mart since 2005, and deferred comment to its client.

“Candidate agencies that may join the roster have already been identified and vetted,” Raddohl wrote in the statement.
Select Resources International is assisting with the review.
